Zack Snyder’s Netflix movie Rebel Moon has wrapped production.
Over the weekend, Zack Snyder took to his official Vero page to announce that his Netflix movie Rebel Moon has wrapped principal photography. Snyder accompanied the announcement with a clip from the movie, giving fans a first look at one of its characters, played by Bae Doona.
“Thank you to everyone who worked on shooting Rebel Moon. I am humbled by your artistry, dedication, your incredible hard work and your friendship. Without you there simply would be no movie, so again, I thank you! That’s a wrap on principal photography,” Snyder wrote on Vero.
Zack Snyder has previously described Rebel Moon as a story originally developed as his take on the Seven Samurai story set within the Star Wars Universe. It has since been repurposed as part of its own original cinematic world, and potentially the launch of yet another genre film series with Netflix, along with Army of the Dead, which debuted on the service last year.
Directed by Zack Snyder from a script he wrote with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad, Rebel Moon also stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, Jena Malone, Corey Stoll, Ed Skrein, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, Cary Elwes, Anthony Hopkins, Stuart Martin, Alfonso Herrera, Michiel Huisman, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang and Rhian Rees.
Rebel Moon does not yet have a release date, but is expected to hit Netflix sometine in 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the movie and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
