Daredevil: Born Again Season 3’s set videos tease two key characters reuniting after a long wait. Last seen together in the finale of The Defenders, the footage reunites the characters for the first time in nearly a decade.
What do we see in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set videos?
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set videos show Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Elektra together. One video from the sets shows Charlie Cox and Elodie Yung rehearsing an action sequence, while another shows them performing the same sequence in costume. This marks Élodie Yung’s return as Elektra Natchios to the MCU after the character was presumed dead in the finale of The Defenders in 2017. It also marks Murdock’s reunion with Elektra, though it remains unclear whether their romance will be rekindled.
The set videos give the best look yet at the new costumes of Daredevil and Elektra, and most notably, both costumes feature inverted color schemes. This lends further support to theories that Elektra will take over as the new Daredevil while Matt Murdock serves time after his identity was exposed in the Season 2 finale.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is an adaptation of The Devil in Cell Block D comic storyline. The upcoming installment is reported to feature Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Kingpin, and a female version of Muse.
Speaking about Season 3, showrunner Dario Scardapane said, “The best way I could put this without giving too much away is that what we do when we’re in the writer’s room is we go and look at some of the iconic comic book runs. We look at a lot of the things that seem to make sense in the story that we’re moving forward, and then when the time comes to bring a character in or to add a storyline, we have our wish list. The world that we’re doing with this show is very Frank Miller-esque, for lack of a better word.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is still in production and is expected to premiere in March 2027.
