Marvel Studios has already started selling official Daredevil merchandise from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Minor spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In case you missed it, Matt Murdock briefly appears in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Marvel Studios kept the surprise under wraps during production but now that the film is out, the company has let the cat out of the bag. Though Daredevil wasn’t seen in the film, his civilian counterpart Matt Murdock absolutely stole the show.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Happy Hogan and Peter Parker hire Matt Murdock as the lawyer to wipe the young student’s criminal slate clean after Mysterio’s false accusation. During their chat, Murdock says “I’m a really good lawyer,” when asked how he managed to drop the charges. Shortly afterward, a brick is hurled through Peter’s window, which Murdock swiftly catches. When asked how he, a blind man, managed to do so, he replies with “I’m a really good lawyer.”
The Daredevil line has become a bit of a meme at this point, and there’s no way to capitalize on internet hilarity other than selling merchandise. In a bid to sell some last-minute Christmas gifts, the company has debuted new merchandise for Daredevil that directly ties into his iconic line in the Spidey threequel.
The white shirt, which is available on Amazon, shows Matt Murdock painted in a red silhouette as his Daredevil senses tingle. Below that, the Spider-Man line can be seen.
Here’s how Amazon described the Disney licensed T-Shirt:
Remember the cinematic moment between Peter Parker and Matt Murdock forever with this bold Spider-Man: No Way Home t-shirt. It features a cool silhouette of Daredevil with ‘I’m a Really Good Lawyer.’ Uncover a new realm of possibilities alongside Peter Parker and Doctor Strange in the latest adventure following your favorite neighborhood hero. Available in youth and adult sizes. Get it in a t-shirt, premium t-shirt, tank top, v-neck, long sleeve tee, and sweatshirt.”
Charlie Cox was last seen as Daredevil in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here is the synopsis:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B.
