Warner Bros. To Release New ‘The Batman’ Trailer In Cinemas

Warner Bros. is set to debut a brand new trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman in cinemas soon.

Ask anyone what their most anticipated film of 2022 is and they’ll respond with The Batman. The highly-anticipated DC film is set to reinvent the cinematic version of the character, finally showing off The Caped Crusader’s detective side. Joining Robert Pattinson as the Batman in his early days are villains Selina Kyle, Carmine Falcone, The Penguin, and the Zodiac Killer-like Riddler.

Details on the Matt Reeves-directed production are slim, though we do know that the film will focus on Batman’s early years of crime-fighting, where he’s still refining his skills and navigating the politics and power structure of Gotham.

The first footage we got of The Batman this year arrived during DC FanDome in the form of a brand new trailer. The trailer absolutely blew most of us away and shortly after a new trailer for Japanese audiences debuted. Now, it looks like Warner Bros. is planning to drop another trailer into cinemas soon.

According to the Alberta Film Classification office, Warner Bros. has submitted a trailer just under two and a half minutes that has been rated. It’s unclear when the studio will debut the new trailer but with a bevy of new films set to hit cinemas tomorrow, on Christmas day, it’s likely that Warner Bros. will have a blitzkrieg drop and air before the new features. It sure would be a Christmas treat.

Here is the synopsis for Matt Reeves’ The Batman:

Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

Directed by Matt Reeves, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman will hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
